The Toronto Maple Leafs Are Undefeated

Damn! That felt good to say!
So, why is every writer and microphone jockey in Ontario (and beyond?) trying to harsh their buzz?
Sure, they might have played a little sloppy at times, Thursday night. But, they got the job done!
Yes, Montreal played without their greatest offensive threat, Mike Camalleri, and Carey Price didn't have the greatest night. Yes, many plays could have been made better with more accurate passes.
Yes, yes, yes...
It is also true, however, that this was game one.
Focus on the positive, people. Tomas Kaberle seems to have shrugged off this summer's hate-in with management, the Leafs appear to have some penalty killers, Dion Phaneuf looks like Dion Phaneuf and Phil Kessel appears ready to continue earning his, "Phil the Thrill," moniker (is that guy even faster, this year?). Oh, and we might finally have a number one goaltender again in J.S. Giguere!
So, look forward to tonight's meeting with the Ottawa Senators. Hopefully, I'll be at the pub tomorrow rubbing it in to the few Ottawa followers in my small town.
Oh, and Hey! I'm reading that we might catch a break again tonight. As Montreal was without Camalleri on Thursday, Ottawa might be without Jason Spezza again tonight. Hey! I'm not proud. I'm a Leaf fan. I'll take wins any way the Buds can get them!
